243 is the best option for class 2 and 3 by a pretty wide margin and also works well enough for most class 4 stuff. it is a little better for taking long shots at mountain goats, bighorns, and blacktails that have a smaller hit box but it's bolt action. 303 is more accurate than the M1 especially from 250+, and offers a little better penetration. it's especially handy for hunting pigs and boars. 30-06 and is perfect for most class 4-7 hunting. The M1 is pretty trustworthy out to 200m, and is 5 round semi auto. the only drawback is that you won't pass harvest check hunting anything smaller than elk with it so not what you want if you're trying to bring down a diamond whitetail. theHunter Call of the Wild - New England Mountains Veteran Cosmetic Pack.
